An Express Grant allows an owner to grant an easement to another person as to allow access to his or her property and in reservation, the owner still has certain rights even if he sells the property. This type of easement is created via Grant. When this type of easement is granted it means that the landowner allows the other entity to use his way on his property for the purposes of way.

On the other hand, when the express easement is reserved means that even if the land is sold from one entity to another the original owner will still reserve the right to an easement for their benefit.
