Bail Application

A bail Application is a written request presented to the Judge in Court by the accused person or their lawyer seeking the release of the accused from custody pending trial or other legal proceedings against the accused. The Court has the authority to accept or reject the bail application of the accused.

Bail must be posted in the form of money or property in order for the person to be released from jail before the person's trial begins. If the person does not appear for trial the bail money or property can be confiscated by the court.

Bail money is returned if the prosecution drops the case but a portion of it may be kept to cover the court fees, restitution, or fines.

If one wants to post bail without money then the person can use a bail bondsman. One can pay 10 percent to the bail bondsman and they will front the rest. You will sign a contract with the bail bondsman with the terms of the payment.

It takes the court 30 days to return the money that is posted in the bail after the disposition of the case. After the person is exonerated the person will be returned the money.
